Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

My mommy just brought me a coffee and an egg sandwich. Yes, I'm thirty, but she's still my mommy when she does things like this.

Feeling a little better now.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Thanks for the affirmations.

I just wish I hadn't been driving. I rarely drive anymore and it stresses me out so much. I'm just grateful I didn't get into an accident or otherwise break the car.

I'm going in to the office. Sigh. But I need to do a few things so I'm going.

Kristin's mommy is so nice.

Perkins, it almost sounds like you're wishing you could take Cat.

I didn't have such a good weekend myself. DH's sister's husband has been cheating on her. She's reading up on divorce law. Can't discuss any of this with MiL, which made conversation at her place yesterday fraught with landmines.

However, I did get quite a bit of unpacking done. So there's that. And that really is pretty good.

What is even happening?

Kristin, I think you need to pack up your mom and bring her west with you. That's not the first time she's done something so sweet, this year.

No, not really, but I am glad Cat is getting a(nother) good home.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

So sleepy. Gnarlpgh.

I have had coffee, and I'm still completely zonked. I didn't sleep especially well last night, and am groggy and slow this morning.

PLus, my allergies are acting up. I thinking I'm just going to read on-line books today, in between whatever projects the temp job has for me. So far today, it's been alphabetizing things.

I can do that.

Want to go home and go back to bed....

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I just wish it could be mine. We always had a cat or two, but after the last two, my mom said no more, and got birds. Stoopid birds. Can't cuddle them. Don't even want to try.

But I have no doubt she'll be taken care of. Probably by people who will notice sooner that she's drinking your grape ginger ale when you aren't looking.

The status is NOT quo.

Cindy, I wish I could. My mom is one of my best friends. She is driving across the country with me at the end of July, so that should be fun.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Maybe you can sneak her in when your mom's not looking, Lilty.
