Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Aaaaaand, just in case there was the least little doubt over whether or not moving to Minnesota from Arizona would be a good idea, I just got stung by a scorpion. From the intensity of the pain and the way is throbbing in waves, I'm guessing the blasted thing got me more than once.

By the way? Never once have I been stung by sticking my foot into an unshaken-out shoe. Infuckingvariably I am lying in bed, minding my own freaking business, when ZZZZZZZot!!!!

To be fair to the "always shake out your shoes" rule, a co-worker who used to live way the hell and gone out in the desert, ten miles from town, used to find them in shoes and boots all the time. He had a housemate who was missing a leg, and one day the amputee found not one but eleven scorpions holed up inside his prosthesis.

Will not sleep at all tonight.

What is even happening?

So glad I didn't read that 'til the morning. Hopefully, my premature senility will kick in, and I'll forget about it, before tonight.

I'm seriously sitting here at my computer with my feet tucked under me.

Hey Cindy! Wanna read a cover letter for me? I'm afraid it falls apart in the last 2 grafs.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

thanks for the perspective. It's tough going when both Tom and are are grumpy and pessimistic - usually one of us can jolly the other one out of it or at least snuggle till sleepy or something.

We are doing a walk through. Hey, did I mention that the sellers are moving at 8am tomorrow aka Closing Day? And that the P&S for 75 days has specified closing before noon?

It will be fine, I'm sure. Just looking forward to it being done.

OK, off to the brain doctor.

Oh, Heather. Sorry. I figured you were asleep and never checked the thread. Shoot the letter through to my profile address if you're still up.

The status is NOT quo.

headdesk

Today did not start well.

My alarm went off at 5:55, and I evidently reached over and hit the OFF button rather than the SNOOZE button. I did not have my backup alarm set because I apparently have gotten overly confident in my ability to wake up with just the one.

I woke up at 7:35. My C-block exam was supposed to start at 7:40.

I freaked out, called the school, and it did end up working out fine: my exams were in my desk, so someone off duty came in, handed them out and got the students started. Still. I got here just after 8:00 sans coffee, breakfast, or shower (the first one hurts the most) and am a full hour behind where I was supposed to be in my grading plan for the day. I am frazzled and uncaffeinatted and I smell bad.

Okay, maybe I don't smell that bad--I did take a shower AND a bath last night after the day of gardening. But I hate hate hate starting the day without a shower.

headdesk

I am such a dumbass.

Kristin, you do not smell. I refuse to believe anything as wee and cute as you can smell bad.

Cindy, insent in a sec.

What is even happening?

Kristin, think of it this way--you started your day early, early, with a shower and a bath, and then a long nap.
