Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Are we permitted to ask for documentation (a plumber's invoice, for example) proving the work has been done?

If it was listed in as work to be done prior to sale, the other side is required to produce that documentation, I believe.

Our wings are not tired.

If you're not doing a walk through I would think that you can request that documentation on the required repairs is brought to closing. Then be prepared to walk out / reschedule if they don't produce. Ugh. I don't ever want ot move again, except that I will anyway.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy Birthday, Plei!

Just got home from Father's Day stuff. Love my dad. Am far more ambivalent about the sibs after a while.

Hanging out with my neice more than makes up for her parents though.

She has made up a hand movement (palms down, one hand on top of the other, thumbs waggling like flippers) for awkward moments. It's the Awkward Turtle.

Also? I feel like I got hit by a Mack truck. Riding a horse after twenty years off, FG... The next day, FPainful. Getting tossed off said horse did not really help.

Nora, I hope the closing goes smoothly. I can't wait to hear that you've turned that house into a home.

A very Happy Birthday to Plei! I think that Perkins and I could be convinced to keep an eye on Lilycakes while you and your hubby went to see Batman next weekend. We've got experience x7 with nieces and nephews and are very willing.

Happy Father's Day to everyone who is one or has one.

And, I'm off again...

Ack! I meant to say I hope the house closing goes well and smoothly (after what sounds like far too much stress) for you, Nora.

The status is NOT quo.

I want to marry this and have its babies.

Nora, I've had 6 closings to date and every single time when it was a couple days before it seemed impossible that it was going to happen because of various hold ups. Total stress, sure it was falling apart. Then every single time we have managed to close on the scheduled date. This last time I was relaxed enough to convince myself we would close on time despite DH asking me every couple hours if it would happen. And it did.

I'm very much looking forward to tossing virtual confetti when you report that your closing is a done deal. Massive amounts of closing~ma to you.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I've bought three houses and sold two. In every case there were times when I would have cheerfully beaten the sellers/buyers and both real estate agents into a sticky paste. It's just a process that's full of emotion, Nora. If the improvements were part of the contract, they have prove they did them before you close. Just sic your attorney on their attorney.

Ooh, Nora, that sounds v. annoying. Good luck.

I meant to go to the usual Sunday night dinner with friends, and then go home. But I wanted to see their new apartment, so stopped by. And then suddenly we were watching "Dancing with the Stars!" and "30 Days" (which irked me because although it was interesting and informative, it also was misleading, annoying, and SUPER condescending, both to the audience and to the people it was supposedly "about")

Isn't my neicelet just the best thing ever? She's pre-Bitch (too young, at 15, for the porn still) if I ever met one.

Awkward Turtle...

I love her.
