Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm so sorry about the migraines, ita. I hope your doctor can find something that will help.

What is even happening?

I hate the waiting for all things medical. I wouldn't be happy about that, either. I don't like to bug doctors' offices, because I know just how busy they are. But if they tell me they're going to do something, I expect them to do it.

(I also used to think that it would be a big smell that'd set me off, but honestly, by that point, I'm a migraine desperately in search of a smell -- it can be just a normal smell, but I'm so sensitive that it throws me right over into headache).
That makes a lot of sense. I think the same kind of situation holds true of me and both my allergies, and my panic attacks.

...

Looks like a suspect confessed to killing that Alabama woman in Aruba. The story doesn't release names. My guess is it is the man whose father is studying to be a judge. [link]

Um, what did I say about not waiting 'til the last minute? Yeah. Right. Later, Buffistas.

If I only had a brain...

Are migraine "hangovers" normal for others who get them? I feel just fuzzy and still very off the day after the migraine is gone oftentimes.

Yes, oh, yes. No brain, floaty, tired.

That's such a lovely story, Cindy. Congratulations seem wrong, but hurray for your family.

ita, my dad gets migraines with no pain; it's not all that unusual.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I get things I'd describe as migraines with no pain -- they feel like a migraine headache without the headache. The dizzy spells don't share any of those brain grindy, hypersensitive, heavy nausea laden sensations. They're just a big deep pully feeling into the bed, with optional spins.

That's why I was surprised.

But, hey, if he never calls me back, I get to ignore him, right?

Opt out. Just say "no".

Thrive to spite them

Cindy that's a great story.

I realized today that I haven't talked to Dad since last Sunday. I'm used to talking to him almost evey day and sometimes not talking to Mom for a week or so. So this is weird.

My birthday is on Thursday. 32 & 5! I explained that to my therapist she thought it was cool.

Yesterday we had a going away party for a girl who's a total sweetheart and her attitude towards life kinda reminds me of Kaylee. Going to my car I was talking with other co workers and they said she'd change once she got older and life started wearing her down/bad things happened. Which I thought was really tacky to say. Plus one woman told me it would happen to me too. I told her, nope. Been there, done that. Life only gets better from here.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm 48 and peeps used to say that to me all the time. Hasn't happened yet.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Does anyone have a recipe for a salad dressing that doesn't use vinegar or wine? Maybe something with orange juice for the acid?
