You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, what is a good e address for you? I tried a couple that I had without success.

mohmlet (at) gmail is the one I'm most likely to see.

Ugh. Tummy time leads to screaming fits, yet is vital or some such crap. Poor babygirl. Time to see if the Boppy trick will work. Well, tomorrow. We've had enough Tummy Torture for one day. (And we STILL aren't out of the house.)

In very vain news, I love my new, brighter, red hair even more today.

What is even happening?

Here's what I hope. I hope P-C accidentally falls in love with a gorgeous, Gujarati (sp?) woman, and she with him, quite outside of his parents' machinations, and that everyone lives happily ever after.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, we just got a birth announcement from an Indian kid BF used to babysit for. He's all grown up, a doctor and his wife (found by his mom) is one too and they seem incredibly well-matched and happy. She is very smart and hip and absolutely gorgeous. The way it worked for them is that his mom (and aunts and extended family) found women they thought he would like and then he dated them, with the right to say no any time. Basically, they found dates for him all through Med School, and he eventually found the woman he married. Once they met they dated for a couplle of years, so they really knew each other. He said it was easier than hitting bars or trolling parties. So....

ETA, his brother found his wife on some sort of Indian dating site on his own.

Our wings are not tired.

I love my new, brighter, red hair even more today.

And do we get to see and love it too?

P-C, DH's college roommate was in a similar predicament. For years his parents tried to hook him up with various suitable brides. He lives here and his parents live in India. He spent a few years traveling around the states to meet potential matches that his parents sent him to meet. He had quite a tough time of it. I’ll have to ask Brendon what happened because I know a decade ago there was a serious time limit on the matter. However, when we visited him in LA a couple years ago he was 40 and enjoying the single life. My guess is that his parents gave up. I’ll ask DH what transpired.

I will try to take pictures at dinner tonight, since I just looked in the mirror and decided I don't look awful tonight.

Oh, when I say he had a tough time of it I don't mean the meeting women part, I mean the parents part. He loved traveling and meeting the potentials. He found them charming and delightful and equally uninterested in getting married. He enjoyed the process though. He's good looking and smart as can be, but rather a work-a-holic.

Go Gris with the graduatness! It is weird, isn't it?

I want to go back to school at some point in time for some graduate degree, but I don't know what yet.

Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention before heading out to dinner: I gave Teacup Guy the keys to my apartment last night, which is something we have discussed for a while since he always seems to get here before I do, and I found the cutest little handcuff keychain to give him with the keys.

Hee, sj. Way to make a statement.

Laura, I'm with you on wanting a graduate degree. I just can't make up my mind in what.
