Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

vw, the way I look at it is that you are making a long term investment in your education, which will pay off financially in the long run, so you are actually being fiscally wise. If you were sitting around wathing TV and smoking pot all day and night, yeah, your debt might be a reflection on you, but you are doing EXACTLY what you should be doing to make yourself financially sound.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So yeah, they aren't quite the assholes I made them out to be.

More importantly, you aren't the failure you previously declared yourself to be. (Not that you would have been a failure even if it were the same job, but I hope you get my point.)

I'm considering it a dry run for the Reel Mom's showings of Mr & Mrs Smith and Batman Begins.

Plei, I would consider it dereliction of duty if you didn't take the Bean to see Batman.

Up with the sun

you aren't the failure you previously declared yourself to be.

That too.

It's funny because this means that a guy who's been there like three months is suddenly the senior assistant editor. They are so fucked.

the way I look at it is that you are making a long term investment in your education, which will pay off financially in the long run, so you are actually being fiscally wise.

Listen to Robin, vw. You're doing your best with the money situation, and I'm sure things will be better after you've put in a few months at your jobs.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

This reminds me, I have to iron that patch onto a onesie soon...

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Congratulations to Cashmere and family! How exciting!

Because books.

But I just can't get caught up with money. And it's such a taboo subject.

vw, friend my LJ (amy37) and you'll find a lot of recent posts about money and decisions we've recently made because of it.

Don't feel like a failure. I'm not -- and we're moving our kids hours away to live with Stephen's dad for a year until we can make up some ground financially. Money doesn't define you -- sometimes you have more and sometimes you have less, and sometimes it makes life super difficult, but it's all the other things that are valuable. Friends, for one. And you've got those by the boatload.

Dude, if money corresponded to a person's worthiness, then...

dude.

Always Anti-fascist!

Then Donald Trump is, like better than me. As much of a failure as I feel, I'll die without conceding that. Never gonna happen, yo.

Up with the sun

Donald Trump is better at self-promotion than at actually making money, anyhow.
