Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Poor Annabel!

I have gotten all but one thing done today. I'm pretty impressed with myself.

I learned to do my own eyebrows. Get it done once right, then just tidy up strays as they show up. Saves $$$ and still looks purty.

This is what I do. Aestiticians take too much brow off! That's the only reason I don't go, I like my thick brows and I haven't found someone who I trust to not wax the holy hell out of them.

But, the upper lip needs the waxing now, oh yes it does, mightily.

Oy. Just got a phone call about boss's position. Dude wanted to know if he could just come in and get an application. I was like, "It would probably be best if you submitted a resume and cover letter."

"Why?"

I'm glad it's not rosacea, Nora. Your breakouts will go away. Aimee says so, and I believe her.

vw, you're slow... we've been impressed with you for weeks! Months even! Years!

Poor Annabel, hope she feels better soon!

ETA: vw, lucky you -- getting to unofficially screen all the dimwit applicants for the boss' position!

Man.

My boss was telling me a few days ago that she interviewed someone for my position who didn't know what Google was. She let that one pass, till the person admitted that she didn't know how to search the Internet at all.

Punishingly Intricate

I learned to do my own eyebrows.

I can't do my own at all! It's so much more painful to me.

I like my thick brows and I haven't found someone who I trust to not wax the holy hell out of them

I'm so lucky I found my aesthetician. She loves my (kind of) thick brows as much as I do. She's not as good as my best friend aesthetician who lives in SF but she's pretty consistent. And I really need to make an appointment! I need all kindsa waxing done stat. yow!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I do my own brows. I get them waxed about once per year, then do them the rest of the year myself. I am not a hairy person, but my eyebrows are scary and seem to grow overnight. I have to tweeze 2x/week.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I like the semi-pampering getting them waxed makes me feel I'm getting. I do wax on my own with Sally Hansen Wax Strips. But, I also find it's easier to have them done and less time consuming what with small baby like person and Emeline taking up a lot of time.
