libkitty, that does sound like a seriously draining way to start your day. Here's hoping it only improves from here.
Nora, good luck with the pile, (and maintaining sanity ;).
Susan, those are some lovely baby browns that Annabel has.
I doubt very much that she'll see this any time soon but just in case - Stephanie thanks for posting those pics. You and Ellie both look lovely. And Joe looks like he's a goner.
And um, that's all I remember.
So, looks like I'm finally gonna be made permanent at my job (shoulda happened at 3 months, this is almost 4). HR is talking about "letter of intent" (that doesn't imply "contract", right?) and other grown-uppy things which seem kinda dramatic for an admin position. Or is this SOP and I just don't remember since the last time I was in a new position was about 7 years ago?
Damn, libkitty, that's a helluva day.
Get-through-it-all~ma for you Nora.
I don't know from SOP for new positions, Epic, but congrats on the impending permanence.
Annabel is pretty and yes, she has lovely eyes and an adorable grin.
It's to the middle of my back, now.
That's okay - you make it work for you. Though I did also quite like your brief flirtation with the bob.
Also, I'm afraid to buy the tickets off eBay. From what I read about earlier previews, it might be difficult to get in with scalped tickets. Imagine paying that, waiting in line, and not getting in. Oy.
Yeah, it seems like you'd have to actually meet the person there since you have to have the cc to get the tix.

Thanks, it has been rather tense-making being without insurance for the first time since my mid-twenties (just have to make it through this weekend, knock wood). But I'm mildly concerned about the idea of a "contract" - though I really doubt that's what we're talking about - just because the amount of turnover around here is mildly disturbing. Though I'm not planning on walking out anytime soon, I need the option to be there.
Letter of intent could be an offer of permanent employment, also, I think, not necessarily a contract.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm figuring. But you always gotta have a last-minute mini-panic when things look like they're going right, right?
Ahhhh. Just asked for and received permission to take a mental health day tomorrow.
