they remove your existing nailpolish? Or do you go in bare? Also, how do you make it home without messing up the toes? Do they have a magic drying machine?
Yes. Sometimes. Flipflops. Yes.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I feel especially cute today in a little houndstooth pencil skirt and a pink shirt and my big moonstone necklace.
That does sound fetching. Do you have your hair up but loose like you did in LA?
Awww, Nora, sometimes it's best to nibble around the edges of an overwhelming pile of responsibilities by getting rid of the smaller easier tasks and then checking them off. It gives you a sense of control and progress. And it does lessen the overall work pile.
My advice? Nibble. Make a phone call. Fill out one form. Xerox something, and check it off your list.
Nora, I'm so sorry. My suggestions were all going to be along those lines -- make a small easy piece and get it done -- so I have nothing new. But I am sorry.
I don't suppose I could buy you a drink this evening or anything?
Oh, and DH's new camera came yesterday. Which means new Annabel pics:
Heh. Is that a keyboard in the Pack & Play for her?
We have the same Pack & Play, too.
Yes. Sometimes. Flipflops. Yes.
Damn, I want a pedicure.
Poor, Nora. Too much to do is too much to do. Accept it, make a list, prioritize, and start checking things up. Do not beat yourself up for not enough time. You can't change the time-space continuum.
Libkitty, I'm so sorry you didn't get tickets! I know how carefully you were watching, waiting and hoping for them.
Heh. Is that a keyboard in the Pack & Play for her?
Yep. We had a spare leftover from our old computer, so we gave it to her.
She doesn't like it as much as she did at first. She'd much rather try to take over ours.

The problem is that I'm working in a fairly time sensitive situation- registration for next week conference is Monday, conference attendees are checking into dorm rooms Saturday, and the next HUGE 6 week thing is happening in 2 weeks- I am constantly falling behind on that one because it's the furthest out, BUT it's the most labor intensive, and it's constant. I just feel like I can't keep up. I think I've put a dent in my pile, and then the next day, it doubles, triples, and I've got to be on site and organized on Monday, no extensions, no excuses.
Also I have been doing this stuff and feeling this way since February and I just feel like I'm so. done.
And could someone PLEASE tell me WHY, when there are almost 700 badges to stuff by MONDAY, my co-worker is NOT STUFFING BADGES?!?!?

Co-worker is an evil space alien plotting to take over the planet. Clearly, you must act. Dump the nearest potted plant over co-worker's head.
Nora, can you sit down with coworker and a list of tasks and figure out who does what when? Make a plan so things are prioritized.

Well, I don't like talking to her very much, so there's a problem. My problem, for sure. It's all good now, though. Relatively speaking.
