Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
as long as I'm up at 3 a.m. I might as well get some, you know?
Sing it, sistah.
I am home from work, a little early (I had a doctor's appointment), after a work meeting that went from 9AM-4PM. Granted, there were breaks in there...for another meeting...
So now I'm procrastinating some of the stuff I need to do for a few minutes, while I decompress.
My poor lefty brother only had my father teach him sports right-handed. So he bats, golfs, bowls and throws right-handed
Whenever people were teaching me (I'm left-handed), they'd always be all "OK, so you do it like this...well, except on the other side". And that got too complicated. So I bat and bowl and throw right handed.
It's official. I'm finished with this semester. Just dropped off my final project.
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Yeah, and we played phone tag for a couple of days, and got together last night.
Rueful why? I hope just cause you didn't get enough sleep? :)
No real rue; just kinda "Wow, I can't believe I'm doing this" rueful.
And no, there was no sleeping involved. Although it did feel like a yoga session at a couple of points.
Deena, I'm glad your dad is doing better. That's a relief. Just in time to worry about your mom! {Deena}
Cindy, I'm sorry you're having such a shitty day. I feel like the 2 of us should go hide somewhere with a couple bottles of wine and a carton of cigarettes and lots of chocolate.
ION, I will finally have a day off of work tomorrow after 12 days!
I'm tired. And I left my keys at work, so I was waiting on our porch for 45 minutes till Tom came home. It's 6:30 and I think it's time for bed. For reals.
Cindy, I'm sorry you're having such a shitty day. I feel like the 2 of us should go hide somewhere with a couple bottles of wine and a carton of cigarettes and lots of chocolate.Take me baby, I'm yours. Actually, dinner is on the grill. And I just shoved two Oreos down my throat, and poured myself a glass of red wine. I must have intuited your post, while I was away from the board. There only looks to be about one glass left in the bottle. Guess Scott doesn't get any.
12 days? 12 days without a day off? WTF?!?!?!?!!!!!!!
Been gone for a while.
Have time to hang out more, now.
Only thing I have to say, though, is that this thread title ROCKS.
Shrift, sorry for your loss.
Deena, very glad your dad's doing well.
vw, you rock. Your therapist rocks too. (so does mine. She's already told me she expects a letter in a few months saying how things are going in Minnesota)
Cashmere, I meant to say before how adorable Owen is, very cute with the dandelions.
granola, from yesterday eve:
Askye! Plei! Thanks, it's nice to be remembered!
mini-meara:
It's great to hear from billytea! and I'm happy to hear that things are going well back in his homeland.
YAY, vw! GOOD WORK.
Deena, I'm so sorry about your father, but glad he DID make it to the hospital and that medical treatment is working for him.
shrift, I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm not missing New Orleans, because me in 80% humidity is not a happy Java, but I really, really, really had a FABULOUS time taking photographs at the prom last year, and am so sorry that I won't get to do it again. Do you know, I never went to the prom itself? I was outside on the roof all night, taking photos - in some cases, inside, like, getting Emily to walk down the stairs at just THAT angle. It's exactly what I wanted to do and it made me very happy. You've heard that saying, shy people need props? It was kind of a prop, but more than that, I thought it was something that I could do that was wanted and needed that was also fun for me, and I think that for the most part, they came out really well and people liked the photos of them.
