Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

One of the songs we dance to -- it's all Arabic/Middle Eastern/Indian-influenced -- samples the theme from "Knight Rider." For serious. I dissolve into giggles every time it comes on, which really hampers my ability to wiggle my hips properly.

Oh dear.

The sample actually works with the Arabic music, somehow, but because it's "Knight Rider," it cracks me up.

Oh yes--that was what was getting me giggling over here. I think I'd be compelled to say KITT-like things the whole time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've got the original Knight Rider theme - I should send it to y'all. It's pretty cool, actually.

Oh, David, he'll love it! He's so bright he ought to eat the humor right up. I was afraid that the show may not hold up from when I was a kid, but it's every bit as good as it was then.

Yeah, he's just watched "Apocalypse Pete," "Hard Day's Pete" and the Summer special with Mr. Tastee (aka Michael Stipe). I think he's hooked. But then he was weaned on Pee Wee's Playhouse so that kind of set the standard.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Actually, Michael Stipe is Cap'n Scrummy. t /Pete and Pete pedant.

"Hard Day's Pete" is a great one. Just hope that "The Nightcrawlers" doesn't give him any ideas. Those two may be my favorites of the season.

Ooh! "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" is coming to dvd, too. Although those used to scare the pants off of me, and I don't know Emmett's scariness level. They'll be good at some point, though.

That's true. But I thought Stipe was under the mask too. But I could be wrong.

and I don't know Emmett's scariness level.

He loves scary.

Wasn't it weird when Big Pete was a psycho killer on L&O?

Also, weird: Big Pussy from The Sopranos playing a neighbor. Very young Heather Mattarazzo on the show. By the time Iggy Pop showed up as MT's Dad I was ready for it.

Hmm. Post got eated. Will try again.

It would be great if Stipe was Tastee, too. I must check!!!

Debbie Harry and Kate Pierson(?) from the B-52s show up as neighbors as well. Steve Buscemi makes me happy as Ellen's dad. The most bizarre to me is Hunter Thompson in "New Year's Pete", though.

ETA: And I never saw Killer!Big Pete!! I must.

Also usually some good childcare options.

UW = $$$, limited slots, long wait list. They do have a childcare info packet, Susan, that you should get D to get from HR.

Gah. Spit-up emergency.

Back later.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Ooh, I just googled and found out that in a commentary, the actor who physically played Tastee was named. (I guess the voice actor was listed in the credits)

Now I will have to watch with commentary. MAN, I'm a dork.

Also, David, if you haven't watched them all yet, during "Day of the Dot" you'll get an annoying red line about halfway down your screen for a bit. It's the dvd and not your tv.
