Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, you don't want her to dehydrate, spoiling her is probably the lesser evil. With luck, she'll make the transition to the everflow when it comes and not demand the faucet forever.

Oddly enough, the cats are totally happy with the move. One of them has decided she's gonna be an indoor kitty now, which is fine with me. She will occasionally meow in a conversational tone for a minute ior two, which she rarely did before the move. I'm assuming she's saying something along the lines of "Thank you for bringing me to this spacious new place where I can easily avoid the other cat and the (ptui) dog, would iot kill you to get me some more canned food?" The otehr cat is being annoying, but in exactly the same way she always has been, so I don't think she's been traumatized at all. Just the dog, who was, up until now, eerily well-adjusted and easy going. I guess he's due.

Herding cats for fun

Laura: Hey Katie B, we tried having a group of strong people lift the old shed on a flat bed to move it, but it didn't work out. We took it all apart and put it back together.

Yup, that's what we had to do. So far, I've put in three days of exhausting labor moving heavy objects, and what's been accomplished is that we've cleared the ground and the things in the way, built the foundation, tore down the shed, and moved the floor. The walls and roof remain at the original site. It's amazing to me how much larger this lumber is than the stuff I can buy at Lowe's today. Like the workbench top is 3" thick, which will be good if I choose to hammer things, I suppose.

I have discovered that it's FUN to whack lumber with a sledgehammer and knock things apart.

About cats and water: I've set up an auxiliary watering hole in the living room, which gets a lot of action. Also my glass of water seems to be infinitely preferable to the stuff in the bowl by the cat food.

Our wings are not tired.

I have discovered that it's FUN to whack lumber with a sledgehammer and knock things apart.

I am convinced this is the reason Brendon takes on these projects. Ugh for the hard work, but it's worth it. The new sheds are junk.

Coding and Sleeping

Yay for Ellie!

Leif turns three tomorrow, but his birthday was celebrated this last Sunday. As we were getting ready to go to the party, he was protesting turning three. He kept declaring "I stay two longer!"

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Someone at work this afternoon took a good long look at me in my new haircut and informed me that I looked like someone in Sleater-Kinney.

(smacks head) Of course! Welcome to the world, baby Ellie! May it ever be filled with wonder and love. It can be a hard old world, sure, but some of it is fine indeed.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Good- nearly afternoon here! Is there anyone who'd be willing to look over a resume real fast? I have to work on a personal statement, and I have to let go of this resume before I can concentrate on it.

-t, can someone get to the Harrah's site for you?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Stephanie, I'm glad to hear both Ellie and Joe have arrived safely, each in his/her own way.

Heather, good luck with the job hunt. I'll be happy to look over your resume (profile addy good) but since I recently sent a cover letter for an English teaching position off with the word "resource" spelled wrong, you might want to have it looked at by others.
