[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I email DH when he sits just a few feet from me all the time. He doesn't handle distraction well so I just pop him a note if he seems to be concentrating. He doesn't IM.

Mostly lurking...

I love when Emily and vw are posting together. Cracks me right up. Maybe I'll just start IMing my family.

We don't usually talk to each other on the board when we're sitting three feet apart, but we do when we're in different locations. I do see how it's humorous, though.

And I totally think you should start IMing instructions to your family, Cindy. Would probably be much easier.

edited to fix spelling - one of the joys of having Emily sitting three feet from me! She can correct my posts.

move out and draw fire

When we used to both be able to be online at the same time I would email DH also. Same reason - if he needs to know about something, it lodges better if he sees it, rather than if I try to talk to him while he's doing something else. And no IM, as he's convinced it causes conflicts with everything on his computer and makes the computer suck.

It's hot out. I need to find something to wear that isn't jeans or cargo pants or black. Women here don't wear shorts, and I don't wear capris. Guess I'll be buying some mumus.

I made Tom put the AC in the bedroom last night. Weird weather week we're having. It's not just the heat, it's the... violence in the air, the potential thunderstorms, the quick changeability. Maybe it's all hype though because it looks beautiful outside right now- blue skies, etc.

It was a bit weird sleeping weather last night though. Windy, and clattering the window frames. Not cool but not warm. Couldn't figure out a good sheet/blanket configuration.

Raquel married my husband.

It's looking to be 90--sunny and humid. I don't think our community pool is open during the day yet so we may just hang out in the back yard with bubbles and the hose.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Can't do anything about the teens or the heat, but can you pick another pair of shoes or bring a pair of socks to slip on and go without shoes. Your feet will thank you.

Hmm... When I'm at work, I can do this, but then work is the time when I'm least on my feet anyway. But thank you!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Timelies! I've been semi-lurking for a while, but I see you've all been busy.

First of all, big congratulations to Jon and FAQ girl! You were obviously in love in NO, so it's not a surprise you got married. Best wishes for many happy years together.

And congrats to Stephanie, Ellie, and Stephanie's DH.

and ... well, that's all for now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

TImelies.

Yay for Stephanie's flowers and Joe getting home and meeting Ellie and yay!

My dog is freaking out over the move or something and won't sleep at night. He'll stand by the bed and pant until one of us gets up, or he'll climb half onto the bed, all the stuff he normally only does when he's freaked out by thunder. THere was a little thunder early in the evening, but it stopped, and he didn't stop freaking out. DH finally put him outside at 2am, where he apparently lay down with his head right next to the door until I got up at 5 and let him back in. I feel bad for him, something is clearly upsetting him, but damn, I need my sleep.

IO minor annoyance N: Harrah's has a job opening that I'm not completely qualified for but that I'd like to throw an application at, just in case it'd get me an interview, but I can't because harrahs.com is blocked by the office netnanny, presumably because gambling is bad. Tiresome.

So happy that Stephanie and Joe and Ellie are reunited.
