People? Where are you?

I am very sleepy. My sleeping pills apparently now have only one effect -- to punish me when I don't get enough sleep. They do not, however, help me sleep, as I discovered last night when I went to bed on time! and lay awake for three hours. Today will not be good. Pity, since it's a) my busy day with early-morning teenagers (well, early morning for me), b) supposed to be killer hot, and c) going to be full of painful new sandal-wearing.

Timelies! Today is also my long day. There's therapy, then work, then school. Ick. And hot ick. The school I work at has no air conditioning. I will be dressing as appropriately as possible while still adhering to the dress code.

Is it going to be hot, today? Hmmm. I thought so. It's not bad right now, but my skin has that feeling. I'm so glad Scott put in the A.C. over the weekend. It's huge, and I was afraid of him reinjuring his back, but not enough to stop him--just enough to worry outloud in front of him, and then be really grateful he was too macho to listen to me.

Heather, that's freaky with the cats. I'm sorry about your job sitch, but am kind of glad you're free of that place. It sounds like your boss had no idea what he had in you.

Yeah, Cindy. It's supposed to be in the upper 80s with high humidity.

Caffeine~ma to you Emily. Can't do anything about the teens or the heat, but can you pick another pair of shoes or bring a pair of socks to slip on and go without shoes. Your feet will thank you.

I love when Emily and vw are posting together. Cracks me right up. Maybe I'll just start IMing my family.

JULIA, I told you, I'll check your temperature at 11:30 to decide if you're going to school. And I don't want any nonsense from you; if you do have a fever, you're staying home, again.

CHRIS, You still do have a fever. You're not going to pre-school, this morning. If you're not feeling too, too sick, I'll take you to kindergarten orientation, this afternoon.

Wow, all these xposts when I thought people were asleep.

I email DH when he sits just a few feet from me all the time. He doesn't handle distraction well so I just pop him a note if he seems to be concentrating. He doesn't IM.

We don't usually talk to each other on the board when we're sitting three feet apart, but we do when we're in different locations. I do see how it's humorous, though.

And I totally think you should start IMing instructions to your family, Cindy. Would probably be much easier.

When we used to both be able to be online at the same time I would email DH also. Same reason - if he needs to know about something, it lodges better if he sees it, rather than if I try to talk to him while he's doing something else. And no IM, as he's convinced it causes conflicts with everything on his computer and makes the computer suck.

It's hot out. I need to find something to wear that isn't jeans or cargo pants or black. Women here don't wear shorts, and I don't wear capris. Guess I'll be buying some mumus.
