I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, beth, I am sorry your pants tragically ended their own life today. But they did have a long and prosperous reign.

My cat just jumped into the laundry basket and wrestled / snuggled with some of my clothes before dramatically phwumping down and preparing to take a nap. I don't even know how to describe it but it is so very cute and unlike her. Well, the basket part, she likes to nuzzle into clothes I have worn but usually when I get home from work and toss something on the bed or the floor. I've never seen her in the basket before tonight.

A darling ex of mine just called. I forgot how great of a voice he has since mostly we "talk" on IM. I'm a sucker for great voices. Keifer should call me...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I really liked the second hairstyle Plei linked to - the slightly off center part often adds some life to hair.

Beth, I like that one, too. I think it's also the one that would work best with Susan's hair. Though I think I'd cut shorter layers (about bottom-of-cheekbone length) into the very front.

A slightly off center part not only adds life and body, but it makes the face look more symmetrical.

I'm going to need a trim again soon, but I feel like I just *had* a trim. Stupid fast-growing overly-thick mop! Eh. Maybe I can make it until the end of June. It's not feeling fuzzy on the ends yet.

If Raquel checks in later, I'm wondering if she's experienced her hair growing back in lighter now that Captain Babypants is here. Because after getting darker for the duration, my roots are back to normal. (there's a weird ring of saturn effect as a result, as the first bit of post-baby growth was still dark, but I expect the next time I dye it, I'll do deposit-only and even the whole thing up.)

I'm going to go up to Seattle and let Plei decide what to do with my hair, obviously. It's the simplest choice.

Interesting. That's the one I was having the toughest time picturing on me, because her face is so different than mine.

move out and draw fire

Welcome Ellie! And tons of congrats to Stephanie and Joe!

And job~ma to Fay, along with some not-doing-anything-that-will-get-you-arrested-in-Egypt-ma. The embassy folks do not want to have to find reading material they'll let you have in prison.

Heather, sounds like it's a change for the better.

They are growing in pink, apparently. My hair definitely got darker during pregnancy, and it looks to me like the roots are somewhere between pregnancy-brown and normal-(what? titian?)-red-gold-brown-thing. But the DH looked at me the other day and said "Your hair's pink."

The real problem is the new hair that grew during pregnancy. It's shorter than the rest of my hair - only about 2-3 inches long - so when I pull my hair back in a braid or something, I have this corona of slan tendrils that won't lie flat. It does remind me of why I can't have short hair. With the curl I look like Little Orphan Annie.

Oh, Heather! That sucks so bad. Here's a bunch of planma.

Interesting. That's the one I was having the toughest time picturing on me, because her face is so different than mine.

The first and third have people who look more like you, but when I looked at them again, I realized they don't have the baby-fine hair that you do, which means the styles might look weird. What I'm picturing is sort of a hybrid of 1 & 2, with the layers towards the front to keep it from dragging your face down. If that makes sense.

The real problem is the new hair that grew during pregnancy. It's shorter than the rest of my hair - only about 2-3 inches long - so when I pull my hair back in a braid or something, I have this corona of slan tendrils that won't lie flat.

Oh, yeah. Tell me about it. I usually have a random scattering of jet black curly hairs throughout my light sandy/rusty brown hair. Just enough to annoy me. But during pregnancy, they attempted a coup, so almost all the new hairs are those dark, curly things. Without product, my head has a halo of dark frizz.
