I've always assumed so, -t, despite hearing "lights the *****s"
'Harm's Way'
Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That's what I get for only listening to some of the lyrics, and getting a lot of those wrong. I thought that line was about how, though he might dream of California, he'd stay wherever he was, and everyone knew it.
You know how I said I wanted some good news?
Well, it turns out my weird facial tingling is completely consistent with the sort of pinched nerves and muscle tension you might expect of a person with a recent severe back spasm who recently resumed normal activities. Especially if that person simultaneously backed way the hell off on her meds because they made her sleepy and she was afraid of getting addicted. So it should resolve itself with physical therapy and time, though I'm supposed to take 600 mg of ibuprofen every six hours too.
And the car? Dead battery. Not merely pining for the fjords or mostly dead, which is why we couldn't jumpstart it. So we pay the nice people at the Mazda dealership $150, and DH gets the car back on the way home from work tonight.
Small blessings, but I'll take 'em.
I'm happy for you Susan.
Yay for good Spawns Day, Deena.
I really should be out socializing with work people in the lunch room since today is free lunch day (all Mondays and Thursdays are), but my face hurts and all of them will talk about work, so I decided to come socialize here instead.
Who's got something good, fun, interesting, or random to tell me?
eta: Yay, Susan!
That's a relief on both fronts, Susan. Whew!
That's awesome Susan!!!!
Whew, Susan, those are good answers.
Susan, great news! It's great when things turn out to be annoyances, rather than catastrophes.
Are you still going to think about looking for a job? Maybe if you find one that's 2-3 days a week, you can build up the kind of financial safety net that would alleviate panic in the event of future car woes/furnace exploding/sudden attack of leprosy.
That's great news, Susan (compared to the alternatives, at the very least).
Random things...My feet are currently green and fuzzy? I found an apartment complex right by school, which is exciting, though I'd need to get a bike.
