Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Those are some cute houses. I love the Craftsman one.

What we pay for this three-bedroom condo outside of Philly is outrageous. It's a great town, with good schools, and it's very pretty, but the rent is eating us alive, starting with our bottoms.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OMG, I could afford that.

And then I would freeze to death. Or that thing where you go crazy from not going outside for months at a time.

No daycare - grandparents.

I thought you guys were planning to go back to MI, Aims.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason, I'd been assuming that Craftsman style houses were a California thing. Is this not so?

Salt Lake City has several blocks worth of gorgeous Craftsman homes. Amy's restoring hers.

After they caught on, variations of them were built in lots of places. There were a couple adorable ones in the New Jersey town where I grew up. But they started out there.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. I'm not sure where I'd gotten that impression, anyway.

They're lovely.

One day, when I grow up and marry a very rich man¹/win the lottery, I want one.
