While I wait for the effing jump, I'd like to make a list of things I need/want:
- New windows (soundproof to block traffic noise)
- Bookshelf for orange room
- Console table for behind couch
- Rugs for bedroom
- Stove/microwave
- New closet doors (slatted kind, white for orange room, dark wood for all other rooms)
- Remove light box from kitchen and replace with pot lights (also get some under-cabinet lighting)
- Remodel both bathrooms (orange room bathroom first)
My, it's fun to dream...
Reading on the porch sounds like an excellent plan, Deena.
Transmission~ma for you, Daniel. What a PITA!
I have work to do and don't want to do it. It's a beautiful day, the children are mostly behaving, my living room is half clean and I have books. That all seems like a really good reason to go hang out on the porch and read, doesn't it?
Absotively!
et agree with this
Transmission~ma for you, Daniel. What a PITA!
If it would make you feel any better I could tell the story of the time that the transmission in my automatic went out and the only working gear I had was reverse (and I was at a red light in a left turn lane at the time). Or I could skip it and just wish that the money-from-the-sky-fairy would smile on you and wave her magic wand...
And just to keep myself in check, things I needed that I've recently gotten (is gotten right here? seems not...):
- Dryer
- Fridge
- Couch
- Entertainment center
- Desk
Preach it GC, I found an apartment on Craigs List that I want so badly I can taste it. We can afford the rent, but have nothing for a sec dep right now.

Oooh, pretty. Can not the parentals help with deposit?
I've been talking lately about buying a house. GF is getting tense so I need to stop it. We will buy a house in the next 2-3 years.
Oh, snert. I called to check if the HR department wants an exit interview.
Nope. They will E-mail a link to an exit survey.
Can not the parentals help with deposit?
Prolly not. They just built a new sunporch on the summer house.
(God that sounds so damned pretentious)
$1500 for a 2 bedroom? Note to self: don't move to LA.
Pretty apt., Aimee. Come on, Money Fairy!
On-line exit survey? That's hilarious.
