Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

$1500 for a 2 bedroom? Note to self: don't move to LA.

Pretty apt., Aimee. Come on, Money Fairy!

On-line exit survey? That's hilarious.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Yeah. And the prices just keep going up. When I first got here, 8 years ago, 3 of split a 3 bedroom in Burbank (and a really swank place, too) for $1350 a month.

Prices are craxy. I thank the Gods that we bought when we did cause now the prices in our building have almost doubled. Craxiness, I tell you.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Wow, that's expensive. Greg and I talked about it again and decided not to try to buy a house for another year. Next summer, hopefully, things will be more financially stable and we'll feel better about the plan. I just hope prices haven't gone through the roof by then. There have been some renovations to the area, which may mean bad things, price-wise.

I don't think I can comprehend the LA real estate market.

I'm not surprised, Aimee. The apt. the GF and I lived in went from $800 to $1450 in the space of 3 years. I'm sure it's renting for more than the $1450 at this point, too.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I told you guys about apartment searching in London, right? We looked up what we thought was our monthly mortgage payment converted to pounds. Found some VERY SMALL (600 sq. ft) flats that we might have wanted. Then we noticed the rates were WEEKLY. I'm scared to think of what the ones we could have afforded looked like.

4 times our mortgage with roughly a third of the square footage. Needless to say, we stopped considering London as an option.
