Anyone have advice on buying a washer and dryer?
You can usually get fairly decent used ones for $50-$100 from appliance stores that take trade-ins. A lot of them check out the trade ins, and sell them because they want to get you as a future customer when you can afford a new one.
Note to self: Pep Boys != Good service
That's really sloppy. My worst car service came from AAMCO.
My worst service came from one of the local dealerships.
I'm taking the car into the dealership this time. Wish me no-rip-off~ma.
Yowwch, that's what I could've used with mine. Well, when I called 'em on their crap, I ended up getting my service for pretty much free. So I wish you no rip-off-ma, or failing that, Pissed-off-with-this-crap-not-gonna-take-it-ma.
Also, Hi Deena!
Deena!!!! Manymany hugs to you.
Hi Epic!
I've missed you too, sj. I'm sorry about the cold, happy about the 5 months. It doesn't seem that long.
Hey Daniel, I'm sorry about the finance crap. I wish I had a solution. I need to win the lottery.
I have work to do and don't want to do it. It's a beautiful day, the children are mostly behaving, my living room is half clean and I have books. That all seems like a really good reason to go hang out on the porch and read, doesn't it?
PS. I drove my car to work today.
In first and second gear.
15 MPH-20 MPH
But I only work a mile away from home, so it wasn't all that bad.
Stupid transmission.
Oh, Daniel, that sucks.
You guys are making me feel so loved. Thank you.
While I wait for the effing jump, I'd like to make a list of things I need/want:
- New windows (soundproof to block traffic noise)
- Bookshelf for orange room
- Console table for behind couch
- Rugs for bedroom
- Stove/microwave
- New closet doors (slatted kind, white for orange room, dark wood for all other rooms)
- Remove light box from kitchen and replace with pot lights (also get some under-cabinet lighting)
- Remodel both bathrooms (orange room bathroom first)
My, it's fun to dream...
