Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hey. New board.

Oh noes! Tarantino's is not answering their phone. I hope they aren't closed for Memorial Day. I might cry.

If I only had a brain...

Hooray for the new life, Heather.

My last BPAL order included "Mi-Go Brain Canister". It came with its own squishy brain. Squishy brain is good.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hey Cass! I'm sorry we missed you Friday.
Yeah that was too bad. But my friend ended up having awesome news at work when the evil overlord and his wife were summarily fired so stuff got all caught up in celebrating that. It was, however, great to meet you even if it was briefly. Next time I am in Dallas, I want to hang out more though.
Squishy brain is good.
Squishy brain good.

I just finished watching the Indy 500. I am frelling giddy and bouncing. This is so damn cool.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That race RAWKED.

The fact that I know this, I blame on Cass.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Wow! Go cute friend of Cass.

I cannot get motivated to do anything I need to do right now. Maybe chips and salsa will help.

ETA- Was watching the race when Mr. H came in and asked what I was watching, and then why. Suddenly he'd plopped down to watch it too. Ended up having to 'splain to people we said we might go see the DBT performance with that we wouldn't make it as we were getting our redneck on.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cass, I haven't tried that Aveda moisturizer, but I need to go pick up some Self Control Stick, so I may very well try it.

Aimee, stupid fuckheads piss me off to no end.

Not an apology in the world for this. It was so amazing! God it was so damn good...
Go cute friend of Cass.
Yeah, we raised a toast. I think I am going to get a copy of the email and get it framed for him. Ding dong the dick is gone...
we were getting our redneck on
BWAH!

Do we generally like their stuff? I have really horribly sensitive skin so having something that will even out my skin and not irritate it would be great. Moisture, sunblock and some tint together would be fabulous.

I adore their stuff. They big on the botanicals and pretty Earth-friendly. I dig a lot of their hair care products but have only dabbled in skin care samples on account of being overly loyal to Mary Kay skin care. I've never had sensitivity issues, though, so I don't know whether or not it might cause you problems.

Here's the list of ingredients:

Bergamot*, Iron oxides (mineral pigments), Lavender*, Lemon*, Malachite, Mica (talc alternative), Resveratrol (plant anti-oxidant from Japanese knot weed), Rose*, Titanium dioxide (mineral sunscreen), Tourmaline

Have any problems with those?

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

we were getting our redneck on

I was getting my redneck on for much of the race yesterday, until I had to leave to meet family. It was fun and exciting. There were some scary moments during the race. I was very excited when Danika became the first woman ever to lead the pack at Indy, and was bummed that she didn't win but glad she made such a good showing. And whoever it was whining about her weight or lack thereof should now promptly shove his head up his own ass (except it's clearly already there).

Those crashes are something though. Driving those Indy cars -- you can clip somebody, go into a spin and bleed off a hundred MPH of speed and still hit the wall at over a hundred MPH.

I kinda wish I hadn't read Aimee's link. Sad making.

Go Heather with the job situation improvement plan! Yay!

Today's my one year aniversary. We did, um, nothing to celebrate. A friend of ours came over for Memorial Day eating of smoked meats and drinking of beer and ended up staying until just a little while ago, so the champagne will have to stay in the fridge for a while. Maybe we will even have unpacked some wine glasses and/or crystal when we open it. My parents sent us the best anniversary card ever, though, so that's good.
