Betsy, how awful for you, about the burglary.
Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Crud Betsy, that sucks.
Many sympathies, Betsy and family.
(((Betsy))). Even chopping off the thieves' hands wouldn't make up for losing those rings.
{{{{Lilty}}}} I'm so sorry for the loss of your cousin. I am glad he went peacefully.
{{{Betsy}}} I am so sorry. How awful. I hope they find the bastard.
{{{Lilty}}} I'm so sorry for the loss of your cousin. I'm glad you got to go see him and that it was peaceful. Still...
Poptarts a half-hour later:
Happy Day Off, everyone. I am using my day for more quilting and a wee bit of shopping. That reminds me: Emily, if you read this, could you see if we need more paper towels. I'm gonna run to BJ's today.
I'm feeling better this morning. I wish the pets would stop torturing me, but oh well. They miss mom and dad. I guess I can't blame them for that.
Timelies everyone!
I'm off to Best Buy to get a bday present for a friend. I hope I can resist all the pretties: it seems like everytime I go in there to buy a box of floppies, I come out with a $1000 worth of stuff.
::hugs Best Buy::
Best Buy is good fun. I keep having to tell myself I do NOT need an iPod Shuffle for the gym.
Well, I'm not wishing mutilation on the thieves, but I'm terribly sorry that this has happened to you, Betsy. Damn. What a horrible feeling. Still, thank goodness that you found one of the missing items, and thanks be to God nobody was hurt. Really, this is the kind of burglary you want to have, in a twisted way - I remember my family being robbed once, and we'd just bought a new video (finances were and had been really tight for a couple of years, so this was a very exciting new extravagance) and my Mum had actually, for pretty much the only time before or since, left all the takings from her flower shop on the kitchen table. She'd just been so damned knackered that she decided to sort it out in the morning. And although it was horrible to realise that someone had broken in and stolen the money and the video and so on, it was a tremendous relief to think that they hadn't come upstairs and hurt anyone - they'd just come in, grabbed stuff and gone.
Kind of a shitty silver lining, I know, but at least it's just stuff, and you're all safe.
