Not if she keeps spelling "favour" with a "u"! That's a dead giveaway! Oh wait...you don't have to pretend you were born here and adopt the accent do you?
Nah. I think it helps, in fact. Last year a survey found that America's favourite [sic] foreign country [sic] was Australia. So that's nice.
Oh, on accents, apparently Bec thinks mine has become stonger (i.e. more Australian) since moving back. Also, apparently people have been telling her that she's picked up a bit of an American accent since I left, though frankly I think that's just crazy talk. She sounded just the same to me.
Aww, cute Annabel pics. I love the one in the swing. Wow, she's getting big.
BT, glad for the good phone call, and may creepy guy stop making with the creepy with Bec.
New URL for my flickr pictures, and new Lily pictures too! We went up and met with my Aunt Doreen today (without having to cross the border!), so we have the first picture of Lily with any of my extended family. We also added a bunch of pictures of Lily with various members of Paul's family (mother, father, sister--I think we failed to get a picture of her with Paul's uncle when he was in town. Hmph.) [link]
Lily and Mama are gorgeous.
Annabel is adorable (and walking already!).
Gloomcookie is tired, yet awake. Pity.

Yeah. I'm sure he doesn't mean to be creepy, but really.
That's really, really creepy. My thought while reading was that Bec should talk to her pastor, rather than the guy, and let the pastor do the dirty work.
That's a good suggestion, Cindy.
Good morning everyone. I am feeling like a slug. This is not a good thing.

I think she's comfortable talking to the guy first. I mean, he was married for 16 years, and he's a good and involved father too (his son has cerebral palsy, which doesn't make it easier). And Bec did think he was a good guy before all this, and she has good sense (hey, she married me).
So, yeah, he needs to get some perspective here, but I don't think he's stalker material.
Further update: Bec has now talked to him and straightened things out. It sounds like the fact that Bec got on so well with his son had a lot to do with things. If you have a kid with a disability, and you come across someone who relates so easily to them, that's got to make them look pretty special. And she is, of course. But it's been sorted.
Both Ikea and the Farmer's market open at 10:00. Which one should I go to first?
