Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Maybe it's a small fandom because there's no need for fix-it fic or alternate pairings?

Quite possibly! It did have a surprisingly active Yuletide this past year, but surprisingly active in this case meant three additional stories, two of which were written for me.

It's one of those sources where it seems like, for a lot of us, there's not an immediate rush to go read or write something, but we're generally pretty pleased if we stumble across it.

There are only 17 for the actual canon pairing. I think the rest are all the weird crossover ones. Even some of the 17 are weird crossover ones.

(Technically, I have written in smaller fandoms. But Divas Las Vegas isn't something anyone but me actually saw a need to write or read, and that was just a couple hundred words of ridiculous vs. a couple thousand words of fluff.)

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

So...I just started a Sleepy Hollow/Ninth Doctor crossover fanfic to fix the mess that was the Sleepy Hollow finale. Because why not?

Woo! That's what fic is for!

My recipient loved their surprise NYR fic. Yay! I have written 500+ words since 2:30 pm in the same fandom. Which was supposed to be one-and-done.

Oops? (I don't have an infinite number of variations here like I do with Push. I just have a particular post-canon space I want to play in with a bunch of interconnected stories.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

WooHoo, crossover! Or maybe that should be WooWho!

Can someone remind me WHY WRITING? WHY THIS HOBBY?

Signed, taking advantage of Social Media Blackout (I'm cheating by being here, honestly) to finish something I've been picking at since 2014.

Have hit point of OMG, WHAT THE FUCK WAS I EVEN THINKING?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Can someone remind me WHY WRITING? WHY THIS HOBBY?

To get them out of your head and onto the page/screen? (The page looked at the screen longingly. Could anyone so bright and beautiful ever return their feelings? 100,452 words, UST, coffee shop AU.)

I FINISHED A THING! WITHOUT ANY RELATION TO YULETIDE! AND MANAGED TO FINISH IT BEFORE CIVIL WAR OPENS IN THE STATES! GO ME! Ahem.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Damn, Plei. I didn't know I wanted that, until I read it.

I knew I wanted it. It was like pulling teeth slowly to, oh, finish writing it, but I knew I wanted it.

Mostly, though, and I am telling you because YOU are a person who would appreciate this: mostly, I am just really pleased that I got to use the word biliverdin in something.

Excellent story, Plei!
