Flashback for LOTR fandom: The One Ring Challenge, an experiment with different characters coming to possess the One Ring. This was part of an amazing shift towards fandom through LJ and people going further and wider than had been done before. Still awesome.

I mean, if nothing else, we know the servos make noise as the plates adjust. Which could have a fun play aspect, as well.
