Veterans of the Psychic Wars, a Blue Oyster Cult song. Dean's theme song.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's what you get for reading the thread only one post at a time.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I love it when I am right and everyone else is wrong. :)

So, so right.

A massively tear-inducing Avengers fic about the Captain America board Phil Coulson co-founded in 1996 and their reaction to his "death".

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

One thing and the other led me to reading Charles/Erik, even though I'm not a fan of X-Men First Class. First fic was good since it was an author I knew and trusted. Diving into ao3 was a mistake. To be clear, I've been navigating the AUs, but I have never backed out of so many fics before. I usually am a completist even with mediocre fic, or when I realize the conclusion is sex and there's no more plot left. But, damn.

So, any recs would be welcome.

Juliebird, if you'd be into an XMFC-White Coller mash up, Limited Release is vey good. [link]

I got my ass in gear this year, and have signed up for two stories for the DCBB. One, the major bang, is MASSIVE at 126 pages.

The standard is one picture for mini, twice that for major bangs.

If you'd written that many pages, how many pictures would you be happy with>

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I wonder if I dare go looking for Mentalist/Colombo xover. Cause it would take real skill to pull that one off, and I rear what the result of less than perfect execution of that one would be.
