I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Oh god, I'm reading the latest Phil/Clint Hollow Your Bone Like A Bird and I'm balling my eyes out. They're finally doing a eulogy and it's gutting.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh god, I'm reading the latest Phil/Clint Hollow Your Bone Like A Bird and I'm balling my eyes out. They're finally doing a eulogy and it's gutting.

I had to stop halfway through so I could read it later, when I had TIME to bawl my eyes out. I also warned Cass that she may not want to read it right now.

They're finally doing a eulogy and it's gutting.

Oh good lord I know. But I actually did Kermit hands during the standoff against Ross.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

But I actually did Kermit hands during the standoff against Ross.

That scene was utterly brilliant. And yes, the eulogy was cry-making in the extreme. For some reason, Sitwell's part was what hit hardest.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If one misspelling in a fic makes you consider ditching it, I'd suspect you should just ditch the fic anyway. I'm assuming that if it had a compelling plot, characterisation, all the what, the question wouldn't come up--I'd certainly not ditch a good story over a spelling error.

Then again, I probably have a lower ditch rate than most.

Also, too close to no one who tries to use the word seems to know how choked is spelt. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to writers I've not seen use it yet.

For me, if it is a typo or spelling mistake that has some logic to it, like homophones, then it doesn't bug me too much. When an author uses full out wrong words, I tend to tread carefully. Multiple occurances, I'm outta there. I don't want to have to stuggle to figure out what you are trying to say.

I'm really surprised at how often SHIELD gets misspelled as SHEILD. It's such an easy thing to find and replace.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

... so how are they spelling choked?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

... so how are they spelling choked?

Brocken.

I also warned Cass that she may not want to read it right now.

For which I am very, very grateful. I would have gone straight in to the update and, to make matters potentially worse, I was with family this weekend. I just put it in a place to read later.

It's a brilliant story but I can't handle that part right now.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Chocked. Which, just always brings back Pat Roach trying to kill Indiana Jones with the wheel chocks from the plane in Raiders.
