I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

SGA: Behind the Music. Too damned funny.

... That... was brilliant.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh. My. God.

From the Ways to Die in the Pegasus Galaxy thingy that's been going around. (But don't worry! It won't make you cry.) Made of Win.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That is sheer genius!

My God, you've found Jilli's gateway drug to SGA fandom!

Hee! That was very cute. I have no idea who any of the characters named were, but still! Anything done in the style of the Gashleycrumb Tinies gets my approval.

Dear fandom:

A story that contains explicit and messy masturbation is not gen just because it contains neither slash nor het.

No love, me.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I found this, "Gen fan fiction is considered to be "GENeral" -- for differing versions of "general". It is usually rated somewhere between G and "suitable for young adults". The content can vary: many consider it to be anything which is not slash or adult. In Stargate SG-1 fandom, "gen" is used to refer to stories which explicitly exclude romantic stories (see noromo and het). As a contrast, some sections of Sentinel fandom consider gen to be everything that isn't slash -- that is, that gen includes adult fiction as well. So this term may need to be clarified depending on context."

Laga, in the circles I operate in, it's either "gen" for "general audience" or "gen" for "could be aired on the show". In neither event is a PWP that is all and only about masturbation, in explicit detail, gen. The point of gen is that it's not about sex, and this story is.

I don't think I'm being too demanding here: it just feels like someone who doesn't understand fannish history at all, and is trying to drum up interest in her story post.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

These circles are mine, as well.

Explicit stories should be marked as such.

Happily, the poster agreed with me once I pointed out the contradiction in her headers.
