Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

You could at least look at the list of nominated fandoms and see if there are a few you could write, nudge nudge. It's only 1,000 words, nudge nudge.

Oh fine. But I promise nothing. Link, plz?

Jilli, you should do it. You still have your Hack Account, right?

From that one Dru Drabble, remember? You can totally use imahack as your Writing Alias!

And I'll beta!

I do. Not that I remember the password, but that can be fixed.

gnnng. Let me look at the list of fandoms. And if I DO take part in this, not only will I need you to beta, I will need you to listen to me whine and fret that I'm crap at character voices.

Okay, I did remember the password to the imahack LJ account. I may write some practice fics to see if I feel confident enough to sign up for Yuletide.

You're thinking that if you ever want to write the Young Adult novel in your head, some practice at fiction for an audience would come in handy. As this is an anon fest, you would be assured that you're not being read because people know your name, so the feedback you'd get would be especially helpful.

You already know you can write, so this is branching out.

Oh sure, there you go with the sense-making and the providing of reasons.

If you're able, I'll enable. That's the way the world works, babe.

(I shouldn't have worn my weird Warholesque coat today. I shouldn't have.)

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Yes yes yes!!!

Go Jilli! Go Jilli! Go Jilli!

...meanwhile I think I now know myself well enough not to sign up. I'll wait for the New Year's Resolutions, and pick through those - 'cause if I make a commitment to write for a challenge, I'm likely not going to remember/knuckle down.
