See, I see the incest and I think, "oh, that's just so 2002." Incestfic may not be my flavor of the month, but ever since Lex/Lionel, I just assume that if there are related sexxay characters in play, people will go there.

I'm fascinated that RPS appears to be on the rise as well, within SPN fandom. And it's not being written by people who don't like the Wincest--in fact it's often the same people. So, um.
I clicked on Destina's new story and read a few sentences and thought, "I don't care about these people." Sigh.

The difference, for me, is seeing a fandom where the majority (or at least a substantial proportion) of the fic is incest. In Smallville and Harry Potter and Firefly, those pairings were not the OTP of the fandom.
I have read no Petrelli-cest. I have even avoided seeing it. I'm going to stick with that.

I can't read incest, it's just a squick I can't get past. The first incest story I read was in DS - RayV/Frannie/Fraser.
And really after some of the DS Dief sex stories I read really I shouldn't be surprised that people are writing carpreg.

I have no moral objections, I just don't really dig it. Even if it makes me sad seeing all this beautiful cake that I have no real desire to eat.
