Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can't believe I'm asking, but link?

Actually, I can totally believe I'm asking, because I know I have wingfic issues.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

YAY!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I don't understand wingfic. Or at least, I would understand it in, say The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe fic, but not in say, Scrubs. What is the impetus behind it? Is it like Daedulus and Icarus?

Punishingly Intricate

Not Wings the tv show?

Thrive to spite them

I haven't read a lot of wing fic, but I think it's sort of like "I woke up gay!" only with added wings. It's popular in popslash and I've seen it bleed over into Due South and SGA adn a few other fandoms.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Not wings the TV show.

I think it first popped up in LOTR, which, you'll recall, does not have winged people (although there are sapient creatures who do have wings, because, they are BIRDS). Actually, it might even have been in LOTR RPS; I don't read either so I coldn't say.

I don't think it's any crazier than, say, your average character getting a unicorn in his or her back yard. But just as obviously a preteen years My Little Pony-type fantasy.

That probably shouldn't make me gleeful, should it?

I blame Plei.
