Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Yahtzee just got a book deal for a YA vampire romance novel! Four of them, actually!

FANFUCKINGTASTIC!!!

(And I'm writing the Old People's Werewolf novels, damn it! Or, well, okay, no. But now you're tempting me to stick in more old people.)

Askye, I can't give any recs, but go to the vm_navigator lj. They regularly link to fic, vids, interviews, etc. And most fic is labeled with ep #, so you can tell what's safe. It'll also help you find authors and fic communities. Happy reading.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Guess who's back?

For the next couple of days, as they sailed smoothly in still waters, the blonde listened in horror as Michael screamed angry and frightened in French, what she understood to be expressions of grief. He would cry uncontrollable or seriously shout commands to only god knew whom. And Nikita, prayed, like she had not done in such a long time and asked the angels that protected her to guard the man lying half naked in her bed. At night, when the moon was out, when the stars twinkled and when Michael shivered with unjustifiable chill, the only thing that gave him comfort and took away the freeze was Nikita sharing the heat of her totally nude body with him.

L.K. Hamilton?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Wait, Nikita isn't sailing about with her friends anymore? Will NO ONE think of the blind children?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Instead of Michael lying half-naked in her bed, why doesn't she dress him in a nice warm pair of flannel pajamas and put a hot water bottle on his feet?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

as they sailed smoothly in still waters

Generally speaking, when the waters are still it is because there is no wind. Which, tends to make it hard to sail.

For that matter, what's wrong with a nice fluffy quilt or an electric blanket?

Yeah, some guy showed up with Michael and dumped him on Nikita's boat or something. I'm guessing the author has broken up with Roy Dupuis but plans to remain enamored with Michael.

I actually cheered when I read this.

I seem to derive more pleasure from these snippets of astonishingly bad badfic (for a fandom with which I have the merest passing acquaintance) than I do from a lot of perfectly respectable fic in fandoms I like. They are invariably comedy gold.
