Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think the Smallville slash was either unconscious or actually against the writers' wishes, and Rosenbaum just sort of added it on his own initiative. On Angel it had the full, intentional support of all concerned from the top down. So to speak.

Suffering at the hands of a too-early 5 hour nap, I am now subjecting myself to Atlantis fanfic that's driving me crazy with mis-spellings like "If it's any concilation..." Lord knows I don't have higher ground when talking about accidental typos, but if you just don't know how to spell a word, look it up or use another!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

On Angel it had the full, intentional support of all concerned from the top down. So to speak.

Really? This I did not know. It makes me very happy, though.

Aaaah, Lindsey.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"Some gay porn? Less gay." -- is a Minear quote.

Go team them.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dude, there's plenty of good stuff around in Atlantis. Read that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm not sure it had DB's full support, though I do think he played along well enough. I've read severel pieces in which he says "ANGEL IS NOT GAY."

Was this before the last season? I mean, the subtext was almost domtext for much of the run, but Angel was intimate with Spike...

Oh. Right. Bisexual. Of course. Not gay -- bisexual.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

But they had Spike/JM say it, not DB/Angel. At about the same time DB/Angel was pretending that Angel saying " I want you Lindsey" needed to be rephrased.

Support it or not, it kinda makes it explicit (okay, not enough for many purposes). DB can not want to say it as much as he wants. It doesn't make his character het.

Oh, I'm not saying the character was. Matt's original statement was that

On Angel it had the full, intentional support of all concerned from the top down.

I agree with everyone except maybe DB. Although he played along, he never seemed fully comfortable or supportive of it.

I was just commenting on the Angel is not gay denial -- comfortable or supportive or no -- Angel was intimate with Spike and it would have been weird for the actor to be denying it after those lines were delivered.
