Inara: Who's winning? Simon: I can't tell. They don't seem to be playing by any civilized rules that I know.

'Bushwhacked'

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

You know, all I did was skip and skim, and I still saw a reference to the cat-overlord Sentinel story. Do you people care nothing for my traumatic experiences? Will no one think of the Emily?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That Sentinel story has scarred all of us, even if we haven't read it. It's like metastasizing evil meme.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think I just came across some calling Mac/Beaver (from Veronica Mars) MacGyver.

Please hold me.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I think it's fair to throw spelling primers at people like that. Like, Filliam H. Muffman actually uses letters in the people's names, but there is no G in Mac/Beaver.

Now I have Filliam H. Muffman stuck in my head.

Imagine how Filliam feels about that, Nutty.

(And I have to say, it wasn't that the name-squish was all that funny; it was watching Colbert crack himself up that made me scream laughter. I've only seen him do it once before, and then, it was because he was watching Jon Stewart crack up.)

If I only had a brain...

He lost it early on, when he was trading solemn anchor speeches with the other newsman. I was very happy.

From a fic I just skimmed:

He withdrew his fingers from her pulsing box and licked them languidly. He rubbed them, still-damp, around her lips and inserted them into her mouth.

It took me awhile to figure out what "her pulsing box" was. It sounds like something with an actual electric current.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If this is Nikita badfic, I wouldn't put it past her to have had it electrified.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Box? I just...box? Really?
