Which Wonderfalls piece, Emily?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I'm always hesitant about the whole real-name/pen-name connection, but... well, what the heck. It's not the most popular Wonderfalls piece, but it made a decent showing. Of course, I keep noticing things I wish I'd thought of at the time -- 24 being a very young age to be running a bunch of dojos -- but for the most part I'm happy with it. And Theo and meara both kicked it into shape and helped me bat around titles -- Trashy Loon was a popular contender for a minute there, I think. Anyway: Apologetic Camel was mine. I was both intimidated and squeeish when it turned out Holli was my recipient, and then she went to Antigua before the stories were posted. Oh well.

Oh, and since I'm posting this, I'd like to also highly recommend the Wire in the Blood story that was written for me: Sublimation. Really good.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Does anyone have any Veronica Mars recs? I read Katie's and the ones at Bright Shiny Objects.....

Oh new fandom love...

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Veronica Mars ROCKS. But sadly I have no recs for you.

...meanwhile, I find that I really want to read a crossover in which Maggie from Northern Exposure (still with fantastic short hair) ends up flying Sam from SG1 somewhere, and they end up in a log cabin (possibly) with snow outside, and there is hard liquor and nothing to mix it with, and they bond with swapped tales of boyfriends who died/were eaten by monsters/otherwise shuffled off out of the picture, and about Jack & Joel, and Sam is reminded of Dr Whatchamacaller, who died, and how she'd always wanted to jump her bones, and then there is the Big Gay GirlSex of Hotness.

...don't make me write it myself, universe! I'm not familiar enough with either canon, damn it!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

If we're begging the universe to write us fic we're too lazy to write ourselves, I'd like to second Fay's vote for Northern Exposure fic. Crossovery, slashy, or not, doesn't matter; it just has to be good. And include Ed.

The universe may also write me some Hermione fic. I really, really want to know what her summers are like, back with her family, back in her old neighborhood, among all the kids she spent her early childhood going to Muggle school with and quarreling and making up and playing tag and hopscotch and doing silly 7-year-old amateur magic shows with. Do any of her Muggle friends know what her other life is like?

Have her parents told any other family? Does she have an adoring younger sibling or cousin who trails her around full of questions, tacklehugging her when she returns and hating her for days when she's packing to leave again?

What's it like, all those weeks when she's walking around with this large secret life? Is she ticking off the days until she goes to the Weasley house, or is it a respite from the dark world of big evils, or does she feel just a little out of place in both worlds?

If someone's already written this fic and it's actually good, I will squee and squee and squee without end. Until then, I'll just gape at the universe with my mouth open like a baby bird.

Always Anti-fascist!

I know Northern Exposure fairly well, but have never seen the other one, Fay. Not that I won't write weird GirlSex...I wrote Darla/Karen Walker once.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'll just gape at the universe with my mouth open like a baby bird.

Be careful the giant mice don't eat you alive.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

If we're talking about fics we'd love to read, but wouldn't dare write, I would love to see a House/AtS or BtVS crossover. The snark-off between House and pre-ascension Cordy would be a thing of beauty and would probably leave a blast radius of about five miles.

There's a surprisingly good House/HP crossover, in which Snape finds himself admitted to the hospital after (evidently) having been tortured by DeathEaters & losing his wand.

"House" seems to cross over with other series remarkably well, from what I've seen. There was a JoA/House crossover that was pretty funny (Joan thought House was a manifestation of God).
