Buffy: Dancing with you is way better than trying to hook up with some good-looking guy. Xander: I think I liked it more when you were kicking me in my puffy groin.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Thrive to spite them

This isn't in the league of the Nikita writer, but there are so many things wrong with the imagery in this passage...

Dropping lower, Carson couldn’t prolong Rodney’s agony and enclosed his mouth around the hard, aching flesh and began sucking. Rodney took a deep gasping breath, arched violently into John and screamed as they both toppled backward. Barely hanging on, John felt Rodney’s muscles quiver around him and had to grab onto the thrashing scientist or risk him sliding away as his orgasm literally ripped through him, taking John with him. It seemed to go on forever, Rodney convulsing as he spewed stream after stream upward and gripping John’s dick tightly with each spasm of release.

Poor Carson, the therapy he'll have to go through after watching his lovers die violently from an orgasm. I can't imagine how Weir would explain that to the SGC.

But this is how it really ends.

Carson watched in disbelief as both men experienced the fierce spasms until Rodney finally passed out from sheer ecstasy and John was able to pull his oversensitized flesh free. Rolling them both on their sides, John shook as tiny tremors assaulted him from within. Carson leaned closer, kissing Rodney’s tears and brushing the sweat-soaked hair off of John’s forehead.

This is all in one of the transporter things.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I couldn't make myself finish reading the first snippet.

I killed the thread with the really really bad fic.

I'm sorry.

You really did. Maybe it's time for good fic links.

For instance: The Lay of Celoni More is probably the most creative Atlantis story I've ever seen. Quite possibly the most creative piece of fanfiction I've ever seen. It is, in many ways, barely fanfiction. Gen.

Also by Salieri, Would, But Not Unless; Jack and Daniel over seven years. Slash.

And then there's some crack!fic Atlantis crossover she's started, as well. Nefertiti Never Had Days Like This. So damned funny, and the voices are perfect. Slash, also, although that's not the point.

I'm really sorry for the bad fic. I hope this makes it better.

A very nice drawing of Sheppard [link]

Nice drawings of Sheppard and McKay (different artist) [link]

I don't think this has been recced here, it's called Daemonology and it's a SGA/His Dark Materials fusion. There's a link that explains the world building for the series His Dark Materials, which I haven't read but now I'm going to be looking for at the library.

Oh, yeah, I was impressed by Daemonology. It was well done, although Rodney's question was a really good one, because really, daemons seem not such a smart move, evolutionarily.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This is probably not the place for self-congratulatory wanking, but...I got poetry feedback from Brighid. Dude.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Ooh! You have totally arrived.
