You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Who were you slashing, Betsy? The two kids? Balfour and the dashing wotsisname?

Thrive to spite them

I have 3 more episodes of S1 Starsky and Hutch and the documentaries on the dvd set. Those guys are married, and it's sweet to watch them together. However, normally I'm not a hurt comfort fan, but that show is mostly h/c. Hutch gets shot up with drugs (and only Starsky's love can pull him through!), Starsky gets shot and only Hutch's love and quick thinking can save them! Starsky gets shot up with posion and only Hutch's determination saves him!

Plus, I finally saw Starsky's apartment and Hutch's apartment was redecorated again the last time I saw it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Highlander is the reason I got into slash. It just does make so much more sense. Why, exactly, is Methos so interested in Duncan? Why does he show up and laze around on Duncan's bed? Why does he offer to let Duncan take his head?

Plus, you know, pretty.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watch shows I watched innocently as a kid, and my jaw just drops at what I now see as blatant slash.

Blazing Saddles.

Highlander is the reason I got into slash.

X-Files was my reason. Krycek kissed Mulder--canonically! Theirloveissoviolentanddysfunctional!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I still crack up thinking about that MAD magazine parody from the 70s where the chief informs Starsky & Hutch that they've been split up and assigned new partners by request of Anita Bryant. Though the copy of that spoof on Paul Michael Glaser's fansite omits that last page, some of the slashiness survives...

Balfour and Alan Breck Stewart. Physical contact, meaningful glances...

Thrive to spite them

This isn't in the league of the Nikita writer, but there are so many things wrong with the imagery in this passage...

Dropping lower, Carson couldn’t prolong Rodney’s agony and enclosed his mouth around the hard, aching flesh and began sucking. Rodney took a deep gasping breath, arched violently into John and screamed as they both toppled backward. Barely hanging on, John felt Rodney’s muscles quiver around him and had to grab onto the thrashing scientist or risk him sliding away as his orgasm literally ripped through him, taking John with him. It seemed to go on forever, Rodney convulsing as he spewed stream after stream upward and gripping John’s dick tightly with each spasm of release.

Poor Carson, the therapy he'll have to go through after watching his lovers die violently from an orgasm. I can't imagine how Weir would explain that to the SGC.

But this is how it really ends.

Carson watched in disbelief as both men experienced the fierce spasms until Rodney finally passed out from sheer ecstasy and John was able to pull his oversensitized flesh free. Rolling them both on their sides, John shook as tiny tremors assaulted him from within. Carson leaned closer, kissing Rodney’s tears and brushing the sweat-soaked hair off of John’s forehead.

This is all in one of the transporter things.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I couldn't make myself finish reading the first snippet.

I'm sorry.
