I understand his point, but on the other hand I hate to criticize scientists for expressing opinions. I would be critical of attempting to portray philosophy as science, but I don't know enough about the works he talks about to know if that is the case.

The very notion of there being "supporters" of evolution is ridiculous. Would anyone claim to be a "supporter" of gravity, or the laws of thermodynamics? It's fucking absurd.

I used to have a button that said "Agent of Entropy".
I suppose at one time you might have had supporters of a sun centered solar system and supporters of an earth centered solar system.
I don't find the idea of having "supporters" of evolution or "supporters" of intelligent design as being absurd. I find intelligent design to be absurd, but that's a different issue.
