Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The wedding was glorious. Only 65 people, and the bride and groom (and their 3-year-old daughter) were giddy with happiness. It was in a club which was a mansion built in the late 1800s. So beautiful, with incredible carved marble balustrades and a library with floor to ceiling mahogany shelving. The bride is from a literary family and her father brought the room to tears by reading a poem her grandfather (a famous poet) had written about her when she was 4 years old, which ended with a vision of her as a bride.

Trip was great; thanks for asking. The flight home today? That was shit. But whatev.

you want me to wait until you send paper or do you want me to get paper for you on my own?

I got a letter from my bank saying my debit card was in the group of cards whose private details was stolen electronically. Me and like 30,000 other californians.

But argh.

They are sending a new card which is good because my old one? the signature line is mostly gone due to overuse.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I really want to know what the rest of the lyrics are to "My Girlfriend Who Lives On Coruscant".

Actually, it never really got beyond the title (and my tagline) because all the people involved were laughing too hard to filk any more. ("If You Were Gay" was similarly derailed by nothing rhyming with mitichlorian.) But instead, I give you this (first verse in whitefont because it is a bit spoily):

My wife is preggers, I can see that she will die,
Put on the Jedi Council, a master? No, not I!
I fought with Obi-Wan and fell in lava, I fry!

So whyyyyyyy, do I have a penis helmet?
It sucks to be me! It sucks to be me!
Sucks to trained by a Jedi master that is hot for me!
It sucks to be me.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Hey Buffistas.

Shame about the sucky Tuesdays. My Tuesday has not been all that sucky except for the fact that it's Tuesday already which means one less day to do all of the stuff I have to do before Friday. And I have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, so that means the day automatically can't be that bad.

information libertarian

I always thought the male-pattern baldness thing was about your uncles, not maternal grandfather. And this sucks, because now I know that any future son of mine will be a total baldhead. Signed, my father went seriously bald in his early 20s, but my brother at 26 has still got plenty o' hair.

My Tuesday isn't sucking too much, except for the (biological TMI) fact that my skirt is now closer to the earth.

Oh Robin, that sounds lovely. Did you get to eat everywhere you wanted to eat?

Also, while I was gone I got a phone call about a new teaching gig. Meep!

Well, so long as it's maternal uncles, same thing. The point is that if it's carried on the X, then whether a man's father is bald has no correlation with his eventual baldness or not.

Kat, we have to get together (us and our honeys) so we can tell each other travel stories! Ate lots of places with lots of folks and it was great.

Also, new job? Yikes!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Honey- and travel-flaunter.
