Sorry I don't have an answer to that one!
I temporarily repaired my sagging front stoop with concrete blocks today, which while it can't be doing much for the value or aesthetics of my house, will let us get in and out the front door safely until I can convince a contractor to replace it for something less than a skillion and a half bucks. Plus I got to be all handy and able and so on, even if it was just to carefully pile up some blocks and use my car jack to raise the support beam into place.
Homeowning can take you strange places.
Oh, cool. I could do next Sunday. (The week after that I am going to be out of town.) Pizza for 4?
JZ is craxy because she is definitely not available next Sunday and I don't know what calendar she's looking at. You'll need another day for an allen wrench party.
If'n I lived in the SF area, Perkins, I'd help. Unfortunately, there is half a continent twixt there and here. I wouldn't even need pizza and I've sworn off beer temporarily. My tastebuds have been on strike and I'm strictly a wine girl, right now.
eta: spelling shouldn't be that creative
Man, I would totally help Perkins too. Putting together Ikea furniture is one of my favorite things. For real. Except that time that my friend got a busted dresser drawer that she still blames on me.
Well, you should all come visit. We could have an ikea party.
I hate putting furniture together. Not sure why. It makes me mad, even when it's easy.
I watched
My Bodyguard
and
The Hustler
today. Was bored stiff by the former, and am a bit startled to realise that my memories of the latter weren't so much memories as complete fabrications. Huh.
I find it so satisfying to start with a pile of boards and end up with furniture, even when it's aggravating. It's like carpentry without the skill!
I gots next weekend off, Perkins. I could just fly out and help! I put my dresser together! Sure, the drawers won't
always
stay closed, but I feel it adds a much needed element of suspense to picking out a t-shirt.
