3.98 looks good to me. Or 3.9. Though 3.9 offends my sense of how to round things and rounding up to a 4.0 seems wrong, so I think 3.98 is best.This.

Just to throw some pedantry out there, you definitely want to round to 3.98 and not 3.97 if you are going to two decimal places. There is an actual rule of rounding that if you are rounding from a 5 you go to the even number. I just like that that rule exists and must mention it, even if everyone already knows.

3.973 would round to 3.97 but 3.976 should round to 3.98
