The third decimal place feels a little OTT to me
That's kind of what I thought. "Look at me! My GPA goes to the thousandth place!"

I would go with 3.98.
go with 3.98
I cut portals last night. Unfornately, Leif also fell off a swing and cut his lip. The night before, he fell while running and bonked his head but good. My wife said she doesn't want me to work on the project while the kids on the backyard due to Leif's accidents, so things will probably slow down a whole lot. OTOH, that may have just been a reaction at the time and she'll realize the only way to prevent those accidents would be to keep Leif from playing.
In my head, 3.975 looks like someone who is a little desperate, anal retentive in a negative way.
3.9 is impressive. It looks honest. I'd stop at it and say, "she didn't fib, she's a smart cookie, honest, and okay with herself."
3.9 is nothing to sneeze at.
I'm flexible, I like either 3.98 or 3.9. Not a fan of 3.975 though.
On Alias: I could have sworn there was a "10 somethings earlier" caption on the scene where Sloan and Nadia go walking on thin glass. Maybe it wasn't 10, because I thought it was "years earlier".
I was possibly 10 months earlier or basically -- sometime last year.
I think that Fox was trying not to confuse people. Also leaving themselves wiggle room. It's like they're having a "summer season" but not talking about year-round programming this time around.
3.98 looks good to me. Or 3.9. Though 3.9 offends my sense of how to round things and rounding up to a 4.0 seems wrong, so I think 3.98 is best.
I just remembered that I meant to send exam~ma towards Ouise. Starting...now.
