Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

I can't even.

Isn't Britney over yet? Destined to only surface in bad celebrity reality shows and hollywood squares.

From your keyboard to God's ears, Gud. Except that He will be doing away with celebrity reality shows too, if there is any justice. Hollywood Squares is eternal, however.

What is even happening?

Shhhhh. I asked that about Mad*nna, and look what happened.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Those are the NEW hot colors? My friends must be ahead of the curve.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No, she just had a big hit last year and is wall to wall celebrity gossip cover material.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Does "gloxinia" sound like a combination flower/disease to anyone else?

A gloxinia is a flower, actually; kind of an overgrown African violet.

I'm intuiting at 50% of normal today, it seems.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I totally want highlights in 2, 3, and 4 now.

Actually, I, umm... like those colors for things like decor.

Trust my rage

I'm a bit behind here, but I think the "nuclear option", while very significant (and a realy bad idea, IMHO), is simply a change in Senate rules that can be approved by a majority vote. They don't need the Supreme Court or Cheney or anyone else to get involved - they just have to vote in it.
