From the PA, you can take the E train to Jamaica Station in Queens, and then take the AirTrain to JFK. It costs $2 for the subway, and $5 for the AirTrain. It shouldn't take more than 40 minutes, but I would plan for an hour, just to be on the safe side.

Kate, if it was covered in previous seasons, I missed it. At one point while catching up on DVDs, I thought that the Rimbaldi thing had something to do with longevity, but that seems to have been dropped. From what I gathered last night, you're right about the device being a trigger. I think the orchid has some substance that, when mixed with the stuff Arvin already dumped into the water supply (which, apparently is still in the water supply?) will make it so that the device can be used to tirgger serious agression in those who ingest it.
But I may have missed some nuance or something. I was doing other stuff while watching.
ETA: Or what sarameg said. Heh.
From PA take the A train to Howard Beach/JFK Airport station ($2 make sure you get on a Far Rockaway A train) - then take the AirTrain ($5) to JFK.
I am not sure on time, but I would allow 1.5 hours at least.
The E train is a good call, Tom. There's also a bus from PA to JFK. Here's the website that lays out the options: [link]
Edit: msbelle, don't you think the E would be faster than the A?
hee - semi-cross post with Tom. You can take either the A or the E.
The E train is express, so it'll be faster.
During anything resembling rush-hour I'd go with the airtrain/subway over the bus.
I bow to Tom's superior knowledge. also? TOM!!

Oh, yeah. I missed a plane b/c of how long it took. Allow at least 1.5 hours. A taxi would cost around $40 and take maybe 45 mins.
Also, if you're flying American, that's the last stop on the AirTrain from Jamaica, so it was like ten minutes longer than some of the other airlines.
Seriously, ask four NYers how to get to the airport and you get five different opinions.
