No. And yes. It's always sudden.

Chris will be five (yikes!) on Sunday.

That's tough, maybe a small blanket? Leif is tough enough to do things to and he's only two and a half, I hope he gets more cooperative by the time he's five.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, now is the perfect opportunity to learn how. It'll be hard the first couple of times, but it will get easier and then you will have more freedom, which is the ultimate goal. Acting like an order is a suggestion robs it of its power. Pretending buttons aren't being pushed, even though it may require going into a closet and screaming afterwards, is a way to make the button-pusher stop. In effect, you are training your mother to behave to you the way you want her to by changing your behavior.

Our wings are not tired.

Pretty wee baby! Lovely Plei.

Poor Chris. I hated the taste of the drops for pinkeye. Do you still get the nasty taste after you do the drops?

The boys were pretty cool about that stuff. Bobby wouldn't take pills, but drops and liquids were no problem.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Robin. I will have to try that. I am also going to send an e-mail to my therapist.

Just a brag on my little boy. While in Home Depot (let me tell you, taking Leif to Home Depot is an adventure, especially with his sister yelling advice to him like "Run Leif!") he started reading the signs. He also is starting to read very simple books. I'm hoping he'll end up liking to read like his sister.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Lily is so beautiful.

I wish I had some advice, sj, but my mother still worries too much about me. I usually find something else to do while talking to her on the phone, so that I can partially ignore what she says.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh! I forgot what I was going to post! My sister sent me this...

How to start your day off with a positive attitude:
1. Create a "new folder" on your computer.
2. Name it "George W. Bush"
3. Send it to the trash.
4. Empty the trash.
5. Your computer will ask you: "Do you really want to get rid of "George W. Bush"?"
6. Answer calmly, "Yes", and press the mouse button firmly!

Apologies to those that didn't find that amusing.

Well, they can replace "George W. Bush" with the name of some liberal with power. I'm at a loss of who to suggest though being that liberals don't have any power. Hillary maybe? I dunno.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sometimes, it's hard for DH to take ME to Home Depot (or Lowes). I get so tired of the standing around and waiting--either while he's making a decision on something or because we're waiting for customer service. I give Leif credit for finding something to do with his time. Plus, according to your latest screen saver, he's adorable.

Robin is wise, sj. It may take a while, but keep chipping away at it. For now, hot bath sounds good.

Paid some bills and I'm going to ignore the wave of destruction left in my house and take a nap.

Always Anti-fascist!

"I'll take that under advisement," is one way I say "Piss off," without saying it, sj.
