Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I know I haven't posted in a long time, but ...

I just squeaked "Princess Ticky Box" outloud in the office!!! Oh my gosh, so cute!

A friend of mine had a baby on Saturday, and I held him on Sunday, and oh!Baby-so-cute-and-soft-and-little-and-yummy-Squeeee!

Beautiful Lillian!

Wow, Lillian is beautiful.

Paneer is yummy. Indian is one of those foods types that it is just too difficult for my husband to find something on the menu that he can eat (he separates milk and meat and is very picky) so I don't get to indulge in it much.

And, I have just discovered that the crown I must get next month costs more than two tickets from Oakland to Portland (Maine) to Seattle and home again. I haven't asked for any yet, but a little job ~ma for my husband would not be out of place when I have to balance the checkbook and figure out next month's bills.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the cheese is wearing Steph and Jess.

We're gonna call her Tickybox for the rest of her life, aren't we?

Well, duh. I know I am.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Well, duh. I know I am.

Why was she named that? Cause of the heartbeat going tick tick tick? Or did Plei think she was supposed to click on her to fill out a poll?

I've never had Indian food either. There are several good Indian restaurants here, but I've never been. No one will go with me and I'm irrationally freaked about going by myself and trying food that I've never had before. I think it's the last of my "omigod! people will laugh and think I'm stupid and don't belong!" fears.

mmm, cheese ...

the crown I must get

I swear, I must have spent a good minute pondering, "A crown? Why must she get a crown? Shouldn't her subjects provide one?"

Because if you have a poll in your LJ and don't name one of the choices, LJ helpfully labels it "Ticky Box!". When Plei had a poll about what gender we all thought the baby was, more of us voted for TickyBox than anything else.
