Simon: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can... How do I know you won't kill me in my sleep? Mal: You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Avoid what you need to avoid, but don't let that turn into avoiding everything. But if the migraine is too bad, then just rest today and go back to classes tomorrow.

t Tag may read, what Hil and Teppy said

{{vw}} You are not a complete failure. The most important thing is your health and welfare -- think about what's good for you. Can't decide what's best for you? Try flipping a coin -- you might realize when it lands that wasn't the outcome you were hoping for. Sometimes that helps me cut through the stress and pressure of making a decision.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{{vw}}} If the migraine is too bad, you can't help that, but if you can, going to class even if you aren't prepared is a good idea. Or, you know, what everyone else said.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Also, vw, you're a perfectionist. This means you feel like a failure a lot. And you will go ON feeling like that a lot. That's part of your nature. The thing is, how you feel and what you do are two different things. You can feel like a failure and still go to class if you want. The more you do that th eless power the perfectionist judge in your head will have over how you live your life. You'll probably never be able to silence them, but no reason why they should decide what you do.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Lord give me strength to not reach through email and kill my co-worker in Philly. I'm trying really hard to get a long with her.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

vw, what everyone else said. Avoiding a situation that could send you into a spin is a good thing to do. Don't make any decisions about the iPod thing until you've had a chance to look at today from the other end.

-t, I love your tag. I almost considered pulling that to use myself.

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((vw)))) Joining in with everyone else. It's important in life to know what you can and can't handle. And if your physical and mental health can't handle class today, don't force yourself.

In high school, I was asked to leave a class because it hit my mental trigger.

(FTR -- Latin, senior year. The day after my grandmother died, we were translating a very lengthy passage on Hercules' journey through the underworld.)

Alcoholic cats are comedy gold.

Maybe you should get a voodoo doll, Aimee.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Aimee, I still get homesick for Philly. I could go there, kill her for you, pick up a cheesesteak, and finally meet my friends' new babies. Want me to?

Trust my rage

Happy Birthday Owen!

{{{vw}}} FWIW, I think if you can physically handle it, you should go to class. Even if you aren't prepared, you will learn/better understand that material by being there and that's the purpose of going to class.

Also, please don't feel like a failure. You may not be paerfect, or have perfect attendence but that done not equal failure.

eta: and just to prove to self that i'm getting over my own perfectionist issues, i'm leaving my typos. so there.
