"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I opened it and it's signed to me by Sedaris! He did a signing at UCLA.

OK, that's wicked cool. I need to remember that sort of thing in case I ever get in a position to have something signed.

I can't even.

He just returned it with apologies for "scribbling" on the title page.

I opened it and it's signed to me by Sedaris! He did a signing at UCLA.

I did that to a friend too, big apology about the random person scribbling in his copy of the Amber books. The random person was the author who was the GoH at a con I attended.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This is a lot of chicken. Plus cole slaw, mac-n-cheese, and a cornbread muffin. Maybe I'll stick it in the fridge for tomorrow.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

he wrote in my friend's book "to the guy wearing the black suit on the hottest day in New York" My friend didn't get into the signing, but Sedaris said hi to him on the way into teh store and then signed his book anyway.

Cashmere - I hope the phone works, it wasn't tested and needs to be changed from an old 4 prong plug to a new plug.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I use my middle initial for stage work and checks. Otherwise, NSM. And, Kathy A's shortened handle keeps making me look twice because my name is Kathy A. Lastname.

I am the proud new owner of an old pink rotary dial phone. YAY!

Cool!!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

good cowroker! That's a lovely surprise.

I just watched VM I was almost surprised she didn't confront him on the boat. But I know she will confront him- which is one of the things I like about her character - even though she lies, bends the laws, etc. she tends to be on the up and up with the difficult things in a relationship. Not so good with the sweet stuff- but that's because she can't trust it. I actually found last night episode hard to watch - mostly because I wanted to smack the bad boyfriend around. Now about the drugs, I 'm glad to see he had them. With the way the story is going, Logan isn't the rapist. But he isn't a good guy. Hot,but not a good guy. I believe that he's one of those guys that has his code of ethics - mostly haveing to do with sticking up for/stickking by your friends. If Duncan turns out to be the rapist- I see his world shattering in a new way.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have an old almond colored rotary dial phone. Pink would be considerably cooler. The phone is sitting in my closet. If I'm ever in a place with more than 2 phone jacks, I'll probably drag it out and hook it up.

Oh, one more thing from VM:

The big Logan reveal almost put the other time bomb completely out of my head: what is Wallace's mom going to do? Veronica broke them up alright, most likely, but not the way she wanted to. I wonder if between this and Duncan's freak out, she'll be a little more wary of bugging everyone that she wants to. One can hope.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

VM:

Ruffies affect boys, too. We really are human, too. Really. I'm holding out for Duncan and V both being victims. 'Cuz' I like things complex and messy.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I have a new unspoiled theory about VM: Aaron Echolls is the killer. Based on how Veronica felt she had to primp around him, I suspect that she and Lilly had a long-standing crush on the guy. Aaron obviously is used to being friendly with Logan's girlfriends, and I suspect he went too far with Lilly and killed her out of shame. The Kanes believed that Duncan was responsible and covered up whatever clues were available. On another note, I think that it's possible that Logan was both rapist and killer, too, considering that his romantic interest in Veronica started when he realized that she was looking for the killer. Veronica's discovery of his involvement in her rape might well lead to her discovery about his involvement in the murder.

Or maybe I'm full of bull.
