re: that ad Gud mentioned:
Our condolences to new Democrat George Voinovich (R - OH). Just hours after the Ohio senator asked the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to "take a little bit more time" before voting on John Bolton, Move America Forward had an attack ad ready to go. "WIFE: Did you hear how disloyal Senator Voinovich was to Republicans and President Bush? Voinovich stood with the Democrats and refused to vote for John Bolton, the man President Bush has chosen to fight for the United States at the UN...he missed most of the Bolton confirmation hearings, but then shows up at the last minute and stabs the President and Republicans right in the back...Shame on Senator Voinovich." HUBBY: "It seems like Senator Voinovich has become a traitor to the Republican Party." Want to help Move America Forward remind Republican legislators they're all George's bitches now? Then send them a few bucks. — GREG BEATO

eta: not a parody, just a commentary... duh.
I almost thought the ad itself was a parody. All this "loyalty to Party and President" crap gives me the creeps. I find it, dare I say,
un-American.
I had the same reaction, Susan.
Well, anyhow, Gud's link does provide us all with the necessary email addresses and phone numbers to use in order to let Voinovich know that some people are actually
happy
about what he's done.
I remember when I was about 3 or 4 being confused by my parents' enema bag.
Pity my best friend, who once went searching for a straw in our house and ended up finding the tubing for my grandmother's enema kit. He thought I was joking about it til the horrified look on my face convinced him.
I had the same reaction, Susan.
Yeah, it's just so
weird.
I mean, I never,
ever
think in terms of loyalty to politicians. If anything, the shoe is on the other foot--they're the ones who are supposed to be loyal to the people who voted them there and the Constitution that holds the whole thing together.
they're the ones who are supposed to be loyal to the people who voted them there
Indeed. I see GW Bush as an employee that, sadly, the rest of the management didn't chose to fire at his last review.
And I am not pleased with his performance. At. All.
Nope...he would totally be on a performance plan. Maybe wearing "flair' too.
I will admit I've pondered crate training for O.
Just call it a Skinner Box and you'll be covered!
OMG, ita is one of those girls that likes mini-sized things. squeeing in the travel eisle of the drug store is unacceptable.
OMG, what is wrong with you? Mini-sized things are the BEST. My grandmother still gives me samples when she gets them. Oh, which reminds me, apparently you can get a free sample of Tide for cold water on tide.com
OMG, Au Bon Pain has the most delicious new steak and goronzola cheese sammich. Delish, I tell you! It also involves caramelized onions.
HMOG. Wait -- I don't think I like gorgonzola. Phew!
