Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The trick is to take a sniff before you look at the "best by" date. Then you're all objective and stuff.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You are all making me glad I don't drink milk.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Theodosia is wise.

Of course, the most science-y way is to do a double-blind test. But for that you'll need some fresh milk to serve as the control, plus some volunteers.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I was thinking chunks in the liquid.

I'ld never let it get that bad. (Although in college I let the salsa con queso dip get furry. I regreted opening that jar.)

Volunteers who aren't me.

That's what helper monkeys are for.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sometimes a person just gets forgetful. And by "a person," I mean me. Plus, I've noticed that Trader Joe's organic liquid dairy products (milk, half-and-half) go bad really quickly. I expect them to last longer, and then WHAMMO! solids in the milk.

Other organic milk -- I usually drink Horizon -- has a MUCH longer shelf life than plain old Kroger non-organic milk. Weird.

Eh, you could have just scraped it off....

I don't think I've ever given myself food poisoning. I've had chinese takeout go very wrong over 24 hours (I guess. I ate. 15 minutes later, it reversed path.) but that was likely not my fault.

All milk smells bad to me, so I just don't drink it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

When I moved out of the first apartment I lived in away from home, we threw away a jar of black mayonnaise that was hiding behind the baking soda. My roommate—who'd lived there several years longer than I—had no idea where it came from.
